Farewell Émilie Dequenne. 🖤🖤
You fought as hard as you could, but the cancer took you.
We met in 2009, on the set of the film ‘J'ai oublié de te dire’, in which you co-starred with Omar Sharif.
I was the set photographer on the film and the director had also given me a small role as a policeman in two scenes, one with Omar and the other with you.
I took hundreds of photos of you, on and off the set!
Everyone loved you, you were always kind, funny and friendly to everyone, from the actors to the technicians. Everyone loved you. You won a César and the Best Actress award at Cannes.
You also supported me in a court case against a producer who hadn't paid me, by testifying on my behalf. You didn't like injustice and you were there for your friends.
Your loved ones, your daughter, your husband and this profession will miss you...
But you leave nothing but beautiful memories for everyone...

Tu t’es battue de toutes tes forces, mais ce cancer t’a emportée.
Nous nous étions rencontrés en 2009, sur le tournage du film “J’ai oublié de te dire”, dont tu partageais la vedette avec Omar Sharif.
J’étais photographe de plateau sur ce film et le réalisateur m’avait aussi donné un petit rôle de gendarme dans deux scènes; l’une avec Omar et l’autre avec toi.
J’ai pris des centaines de photos de toi, sur et hors du plateau!
Tu étais aimée de tous, toujours gentille, drôle, sympa avec tout le monde, des acteurs aux techniciens. Tu faisais l’unanimité. Tu avais reçu un César et le Prix d'interprétation à Cannes.
Tu m’avais soutenu aussi, lors d’un procès contre un producteur qui ne m’avait pas payé, en témoignant pour moi. Tu n'aimais pas l'injustice et tu étais là pour tes amis.
Tu vas manquer à tes proches, à ta fille, ton mari, et à ce métier…
Mais tu ne laisse que de beaux souvenirs à tous…
