Marstal, island of Ærø, Denmark.
Located in the south of the Fionie archipelago, on the Baltic Sea, it is only 30km long and has 6,000 inhabitants divided into three small towns and a few villages, as well as farms.
Ærø has one of the largest solar energy infrastructures in the world, with a surface area of 18,365 m2, and is considered one of the world leaders in this field.
It is the only island in the Baltic not linked to the mainland by a bridge, and can only be reached by ferry.
On a long strip of sand, beach huts of all colours follow one another, symbols of the island, adding to the poetic atmosphere.
