I photographed the gypsy community of Perpignan, in French Catalonia, for a dozen years. On the Spanish border, these gypsies live a sedentary existence, sometimes in terrible poverty.
How do teenage Gypsy girls live? Of course, they follow traditions, but like other girls their age, they love fashion and looking pretty, like these two fashion victims posing in the middle of a junkyard in the middle of one of their quarters, looking like Inuits straight from Greenland...
