Paris, France
Sainte-Clotilde Basilica and a 19th-century Parisian lamp post.
Built between 1846 and 1857, this neo-Gothic Catholic church is named after the wife of King Clovis. Its two spires rise to a height of 70 metres.
Pope Leo XIII elevated the church to the status of basilica minor.
French President Jacques Chirac was married here in 1956.
Between the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district and the Assemblée Nationale, it is one of the prettiest religious buildings in the capital.
