Today, many armored gates still exist between Catholic and Protestant neighborhoods in Belfast. Erected by the British during the 1960s and 70s, these gates are closed at night, and it's not uncommon for people from either side to throw Molotov cocktails or buckets of nails over them.
Photo published in the exhibition catalog of the Musée de St-Cyprien following the exhibition “The Odyssey of Grégory Herpe”, a retrospective of my work, from March to June 2017.
