The Collusion Wall, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on which hundreds of portraits of Irish civilians who fell under British bullets are displayed.Every day, college students pass by, and so the memories remain.
It must be said that the place is moving, the photos of men succeeding those of women and children. A symbol of the ignominies of war in general, and of the often innocent civilian victims, this wall is considered in Northern Ireland as a true mausoleum by the Catholic community.
While public opinion thinks that the IRA is dead and disarmed, this is not the case, and the conflict with Great Britain continues...
Photo published in the exhibition catalog of the Musée de St-Cyprien following the exhibition “The Odyssey of Grégory Herpe”, a retrospective of his work, from March to June 2017.
