During the shoot with this drag queen, I set a record: over 6 hours of makeup! Fortunately, she had a rich artistic background, and we talked extensively about painting, Paris, music, and novelists. I love this image and the multiple reflections it displays. Symbolically, it represents the many nuances and different personalities we have in our lives. We are often different on the inside compared to the image we project to others.
Drag queens face significant challenges in Hungary, where the LGBTQ+ community is not widely accepted. Discrimination and aggression force drag queens to hide extensively to live as they wish.
