Marstal, island of Ærø, Denmark.
It's winter, early January. On a long strip of sand on the island, beach huts come in all colours. Here's a red and green one with a thatched roof and a mast flying the Danish flag. This wooden cabin is mainly used in summer.
Located in the southern part of the Fionie archipelago, on the Baltic Sea, the islet is 30km long and has 6,000 inhabitants divided into three small towns and a few villages, as well as farms.
Ærø has one of the largest solar energy infrastructures in the world, with a surface area of 18,365 m2, and is considered one of the world leaders in this field.
It is the only island in the Baltic not connected to the mainland by a bridge, and can only be reached by ferry.
