Perpignan, France
A man and his sons. All three were born in this neighbourhood and will never leave. As it says on the sign of a long-closed restaurant, this is the end of the line; the Terminus.
I photographed the gypsy community of Perpignan, in French Catalonia, for a dozen years. On the Spanish border, these gypsies live a sedentary existence, sometimes in terrible poverty.
