Seurasaari Island, Helsinki, Finland
Seurasaari is an island in the Gulf of Finland attached to the municipality of Helsinki.
It's a journey through time where everything seems to have stopped.
However, the magic happens when, in the middle of the forest, a small house perched at the top of a trunk seems to appear out of nowhere. In the past, it was used to store and protect meat (storehouse).
Covering around a third of the island's surface area, an open-air museum brings together old wooden buildings typical of the different provinces and regions of the country, dating from the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
The atmosphere is peaceful and enchanting. A forest is home to 400 species of birds, as well as red squirrels and American mink.
